Vlux Link

Vlux Link — no app, no account, just there

You create a Vlux Link in the VluxApp, your client clicks it — the browser opens, the chat is there. End-to-end encrypted from the start. Works on any device, no installation required.

One link. One click. In the chat.

You tap "Create Vlux Link" in the VluxApp. Your client receives the link via SMS, email — or you show them a QR code on your screen which they scan with their phone camera.

When they click the link, the browser opens — and they are in the chat. No app, no account, no sign-up. Whether iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux or a 5-year-old tablet — as long as a browser runs, it works.

Full security stays in place: the connection runs end-to-end encrypted between you and your client. Vlux Bastion (which sets up the connection) never sees the plaintext of your conversation.

  • No app install for the guest
  • No account, no password
  • End-to-end encrypted (AES-256-GCM)
  • Works on any modern browser

How it works

Three steps — done.

1

You create the link

In the VluxApp you tap "Create Vlux Link", optionally give it a name and a validity period. Done.

2

Your client gets the link

You share the link via SMS, email or as a QR code to scan. Works even during an in-person meeting — hold up the phone, the client scans it with their camera.

3

The chat runs

Your client opens the link, the browser shows the chat. You write directly, encrypted, with no third-party server in between.

Why "no app required" is a game-changer

Vlux Link removes the biggest UX hurdle in client communication.

Vlux Link Other messengers
App install Not needed Required (App Store)
Account Not needed Required (email + password)
Onboarding time for the guest A few seconds Several minutes
Hurdle for older users None — just click the link High — App Store account required
Works on older devices Yes (any browser) Only if app is compatible
End-to-end encrypted Yes, always Varies by provider

Frequently asked questions

Does the client see that no third-party server is involved?

Yes — the browser shows your Vlux Bastion URL. The client sees the direct connection. Vlux Bastion itself never sees the content — the encryption happens in the client’s browser and in the staff member’s app.

How long is a Vlux Link valid?

You choose the validity when creating it — 1 day, 7 days, 30 days or unlimited. You can revoke the link from the app at any time.

Can the client view the chat history later?

As long as the Vlux Link is valid, the client can reopen it and see the history. After expiry or revocation, the chat area is no longer reachable.

What if the client loses the link?

No problem — they let you know, you create a new Vlux Link in seconds. Your existing chat history with them stays in the app on your side.

Do my staff need any special knowledge for this?

No — Vlux Link is a button in the VluxApp. Click, done. No technical configuration required.
