Your PC becomes your own cloud
A piece of software on your PC or mini-server turns it into your own cloud server. Your data sits on your own hard drive — at home, or in the business directly on the company server.
On every device. Everywhere. Instantly.
Directly connected, securely encrypted, full data sovereignty — your data stays at home, for personal use or for your business. With the optional Bastion shield on top, at the highest security level — GDPR-compliant enough for lawyers and doctors, simple enough for any private user.
A piece of software that turns your devices into your own cloud — full data sovereignty, no third-party server.

The VluxApp on every phone, tablet or notebook connects directly to your PC cloud server. No middleman, no foreign server.
PC, phone, tablet, notebook, Mac — every device talks directly and securely to every other. Data flows peer-to-peer, end-to-end encrypted.
Save a file once — and it’s on every device of yours at the same time. Phone photos appear on the PC instantly, your draft is on the tablet when you switch. No USB sticks, no emailing yourself, no back-and-forth.
The key benefits at a glance.
Vlux uses the hardware that's already in your house. When you send data between phone and PC, it goes device to device — no detour through external data centres.
Your data stays with you. Communication, documents and relationship data stay on your devices and your server. By architecture — not by promise, but by design.
Bluetooth pairing instead of certificate configuration. Hold two devices side by side, compare a 6-digit code, done.
You decide what gets in. A clear list, no hidden permissions. Whoever is on the list, is in — everyone else stays out.
Whichever device you're using — phone, laptop, Pi — you work with the same data. A phone photo lands in Drive, the app finds it again. Devices see each other directly, no upload in between.
Vlux keeps running on the local network when the internet connection drops. Chat, file transfer, Drive stay available on the home or office Wi-Fi. A small UPS on the router extends that even during a power outage.
If you run your own local AI (for example Ollama on a powerful workstation), it can be integrated into Vlux chat. All queries stay local. A ready-to-use Vlux AI is not part of the package — the integration is aimed at customers with their own AI infrastructure.
Seven independent defence layers (TLS, mTLS certificate requirement, cert pinning, pair whitelist, layer-2 hash check, audit log, upcoming Bluetooth out-of-band layer). None depends on a single perfect implementation. Standard cryptography (AES-GCM, TLS 1.3, ECDsa) — established methods, vetted by experts for decades.
Data is clearly subject to German law. Hosting on your own Pi → your data space, clear legal basis, no multi-jurisdiction compliance overhead.
Each area shows typical setups, the right platforms, and the features that matter there. Plus: Bastion as an optional security add-on for every path.
The private cloud for your home. Photo backup, music streaming, hobby photography — on your own devices.
For small and mid-sized businesses. Secure file delivery, field documentation, internal chat — directly between office computers.
For reporters, EMS, fire brigades, civil protection. Data keeps flowing even without a stable internet connection.
Constituency offices, small municipalities, police command, public agencies. We’re looking for pilot users — mayors, elected officials, department heads.
Bastion isn’t a path of its own — it’s the security layer that fits on top of any Vlux network. Brings your data to the highest security level — valuable for any private user or business, strong enough for law firms and medical practices (GDPR-compliant).
The shield for any Vlux network. Blocks the port for everyone except the gateway — maximum data sovereignty at the highest security level. For anyone who takes their data seriously.
Four promises behind every Vlux setup.
Your data sits on your own devices. You keep full control — no foreign server, no provider looking in.
AES-256-GCM between sender and recipient. Nobody in the middle reads along.

Three thoughts on the wider impact — when not only you, but many use VluxNet.
An email with an attachment to the colleague at the next desk takes a detour through servers in Ireland or the Netherlands today — with the matching energy cost. VluxNet transfers directly between devices. With broad adoption, less cloud infrastructure has to be built in total.
Learn moreAnyone trying to regain data sovereignty over their sensitive data today finds open-source alternatives for most building blocks. What was missing: a lean bridge between the devices. That gap is exactly what VluxNet closes.
Learn moreAI bots are taking over more and more of online communication. Whoever wants to be recognized as a real human needs a verified network. VluxNet offers an optional ID verification — a foundation that matters once bots get out of hand.
Learn moreThe beta phase is starting now — with a fixed group of testers.
The beta is running with a fixed group — we're not accepting further applications at this time. General availability is coming; then VluxNet will be open to everyone.
If you need a secure solution right now, reach out anyway — we'll find a way.
